Chu Meng-hsuan

Chu Meng-hsuan (Chinese: 初孟軒; born 1996) is a Taiwanese actor and a graduate of Taipei Municipal University of Education. He made his screen debut in 2017 in the short film Beat Him Up as A-Yang, and spent his first years working across commercials, music videos and short-form drama before feature and series work became steady.

BL audiences met him early: in 2018 he played Chou Shao-an in the anthology series HIStory2: Right or Wrong, one of the entries that established the HIStory franchise as Taiwan’s flagship BL production line. Wider domestic recognition followed through two prestige dramas, The Magician on the Skywalk (2021) and the courtroom series Port of Lies (2023), in which he played Lien Chin-ping. Alongside those he built a substantial screen record in Women in Taipei (2022) as Anthony, Oh No! Here Comes Trouble (2023) as the young Pu Renxiu, Urban Horror (2024) as A Heng, and A Table for One (Is Great Too) (2025) as Brownie.

His film work runs in parallel and leans towards genre and independent cinema: The Time of Huan Nan (2024) as Chang An-jian, Run with the Noise (2024) as Kai, Cry Me A River (2024), Eerie Hometown (2025), Kiss Me My Ghost Friend (2026) as Ke Jin Shuo, Hold to Death: Hand in Hand (2026) and Suffocation (2026). In 2026 he took the male lead in the Taiwanese BL series Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars, playing Chen Hao-wei across all twelve episodes opposite Jed Chung’s He Xiang-yong, with Max Kuo playing the teenage version of the same character.
