JN Yu

JN Yu (Chinese: 余杰恩, Yu Jie-en; also credited as Jerry Yu; born March 28, 1998 in Taoyuan, Taiwan) is a Taiwanese actor signed to iStar Entertainment. He graduated from Ming Chuan University’s Department of Information Communication and trained in jazz drums from childhood, competing publicly in the discipline before acting became his profession. His agency lists drumming, badminton and singing among his skills.

His BL filmography began with Be Loved in House: I Do (2021), where he played Wu Si-qi, and continued with The On1y One (2024) as Pang Xie. Outside the genre he appeared in Bro and Me (2019) as Jie En and in the 2026 series Bloody Smart. His commercial work includes campaigns for Suzuki, Taiwan Mobile and Amway and print work for EDWIN, MUJI and FILA.

In film he appeared in the 2023 feature Pipe Dream as Li, then took the role of Chiu Tai-cheng in Marching Boys (2025), the 1990s-set drama directed by Chiang Jui-chih. In 2026 he reunited with Chiang on the Taiwanese BL series Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars, playing Li Wan-zhe across all twelve episodes. He stands 183 cm (6’0″) and speaks Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese Hokkien.

In The On1y One Pang Xie is the old classmate and friend of Sheng Wang, one of two teenage boys who become stepbrothers when their parents marry. The twelve episode series runs about fifty minutes an episode, adapts the web novel Mou Mou by Mu Su Li, and was released between August 22 and September 26, 2024. In Marching Boys, Chiu Tai-cheng is the conductor and coach of the school band, and the screenplay is by Chen Hui-ju and Huang Chih-kai.
