Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! (Anime Movie)

Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! Special Edition (Japanese: 30歳まで童貞だと魔法使いになれるらしい 特別編集版) is a 2024 Japanese animated film that re-edits the franchise's 2024 television anime into a single feature. Distributed by Avex Pictures and animated by Satelight, it opened in Japanese theatres on December 13, 2024, with a running time of about 60 minutes and a G rating.

Rather than a brand-new story, the film retells the romance of Kiyoshi Adachi and Yuichi Kurosawa from the twelve-episode TV anime (which aired from January to March 2024), reframed with newly recorded narration by the two leads and featuring new footage not seen in the broadcast version.

The story follows Adachi, who turns 30 still a virgin and gains the power to read minds by touch, only to discover that his handsome colleague Kurosawa is hopelessly in love with him. The voice cast is led by Chiaki Kobayashi as Adachi and Ryota Suzuki as Kurosawa, with Makoto Furukawa, Gen Sato, Yusuke Shirai, and Ami Koshimizu in supporting roles. The film was directed by Yoshiko Okuda.

A warm send-off for the anime, the Special Edition pairs the series' gentle humour with a new ending theme from the team behind the TV anime's song "Magical Love." It later became available on Blu-ray and through legal streaming platforms such as U-NEXT and ABEMA, where the Cherry Magic! anime is distributed.
