Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! (30歳まで童貞だと魔法使いになれるらしい) is a 2024 Japanese boys' love anime television series, the animated adaptation of the long-running manga of the same name. Kiyoshi Adachi (Chiaki Kobayashi) is a shy, self-effacing office worker who reaches his thirtieth birthday still a virgin and wakes up with an unwanted gift: he can hear other people's thoughts the moment they touch him. The first thing the power tells him is that Yuichi Kurosawa (Ryota Suzuki), the handsome, universally admired colleague everyone in the company likes, has been quietly in love with him for a long time. Adachi, who has never once assumed anyone might feel that way about him, has absolutely no idea what to do with the information.

What follows is a slow-burn office romance built on a very funny problem. Adachi knows exactly how Kurosawa feels and cannot admit that he knows; Kurosawa keeps broadcasting a devotion he is certain nobody can see. The magic works less as a plot engine than as a way of making interior life audible, and the comedy comes from how badly Adachi handles hearing what people actually think of him, including the parts that are kind. Around the two of them the anime keeps the manga's ensemble of co-workers and their side stories, so Masato Tsuge (Makoto Furukawa), Minato Wataya (Gen Sato), Yuta Rokkaku (Yusuke Shirai) and Nozomi Fujisaki (Ami Koshimizu) each get room for their own tangles of attraction, misunderstanding and ordinary workplace friendship. Their arcs give the series somewhere to go while Adachi keeps postponing the one conversation the whole story is waiting for.

Produced by the studio Satelight and directed by Yoshiko Okuda, with character designs by Takahiro Kishida, series composition by Tomoko Konparu and music by Tomoki Hasegawa, the twelve-episode series aired on TV Tokyo and BS TV Tokyo from January to March 2024, adapting the manga by Yuu Toyota (豊田悠). The opening theme, "Hajimete wa Zenbu-kun ga Ii," is performed by Koe ni Naranai yo, while Chiaki Kobayashi and Ryota Suzuki sing the ending theme, "Magical Love," in character. Crunchyroll streamed the series worldwide as it aired and produced an English dub, and a specially edited compilation film reached Japanese theatres in December 2024. The adaptation is deliberately faithful, carrying over the source's soft art and warm humour rather than reinventing them, and it remains a gentle, low-stakes comfort watch about self-worth and being seen.
