Tong Thanayut Thakoonauttaya

Tong Thanayut Thakoonauttaya (Thai: ต๋อง ธนายุทธ ฐากูรอรรถยา; born January 26, 1992) is a Thai actor and model. He is best known for playing Tankhun Theerapanyakun, the eldest of the three brothers, in KinnPorsche (2022), and for Thorn in TharnType (2019), the series that started his career.

He was born in Bangkok and did not train as a performer. He graduated from Chulalongkorn University with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology, and went on to take a master’s degree in brand management and marketing at the same university and a further master’s at the National Institute of Development Administration. By his own account, given to Thai press, he never intended to work in entertainment and came to it by chance after walking past a casting session and being urged to try out.

His screen debut came in 2019 as Thorn in TharnType, a thirteen-episode series, and he returned to the property in the 2021 special TharnType 2: The Wedding Day. He appeared as himself on Sound Check in 2021 and played Paper in the six-episode Second Chance the same year.

KinnPorsche gave him Tankhun, a character who has not left the upper floor of the family compound in years and who could easily have been written as a single joke. He is not played as one. Tankhun carries most of what the series has in the way of comic register while also being the brother who most obviously bears the cost of the family’s business, and holding both at once across fourteen episodes is a harder job than the part looks from outside.

He stayed within the Be On Cloud orbit for the 2023 period film ManSuang, playing Hong alongside Mile Phakphum Romsaithong and Apo Nattawin Wattanagitiphat. Since then he has appeared as himself on Loma Papai (2024), played Krist in HIDDEN (2024), returned as Thorn in The Boy Next World (2025), and is credited in Dark Legacy, scheduled for 2026.
