BIOGRAPHY
Atthaphan Phunsawat (Thai: อรรถพันธ์ พูลสวัสดิ์; born 4 October 1993 in Bangkok), known as Gun, is a Thai actor signed to GMMTV since 2016. He is the lead of Theory of Love (2019), where he plays Third, a film student who has kept his feelings for a close friend to himself for three years.
His list begins before that series with The Gifted in 2018, and runs through Theory of Love in 2019, Not Me in 2021 and 2022, Midnight Museum and Cooking Crush in 2023, The Trainee in 2024, and Leap Day and Burnout Syndrome in 2025. Opposite him in Theory of Love is Off Jumpol Adulkittiporn as Khai, the friend Third decides to stop wanting just as Khai begins to respond.
The pairing was recognised by the LINE TV Awards in 2020, which named Gun and Off Best Couple, and the series itself won Most Hearted Content of the Year. Gun’s own awards include Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the 24th Asian Television Awards in 2020 and Outstanding Asian Star at the Seoul International Drama Awards in 2023.
Before the series, The Gifted in 2018 was his first credit. After it, his titles run in pairs of years: Not Me across 2021 and 2022, Midnight Museum and Cooking Crush together in 2023, The Trainee in 2024, and Leap Day with Burnout Syndrome in 2025. Gun is a good example of how a BL lead’s list reads when the lead role arrives in the middle of a run rather than at the start. The Gifted in 2018 comes first, Theory of Love in 2019 is the pairing viewers of this genre know, and the six credits after it are all different titles.
The award detail is the part worth noting. His Asian Television Awards win is for a supporting role in 2020, the year after Theory of Love, so the industry recognition on his list sits apart from the pairing that made his name in this genre. What stayed with me is that the couple prize and the acting prize were given in the same year for different kinds of work.
