What happens

Still Holding Up Like the Moon (ดั่งเดือนค้างฟ้า) is an upcoming Thai BL series from Domundi, presented under its Mandee Work banner. Its story reaches back four decades into the history of Thai show business. People called him The Eternal Moon: Duean Daranpob, a young actor whose life ended when he was only twenty five.

Forty years have passed since then, yet Duean has never really left. His presence still lingers in the heart of the Thai entertainment world, as if the industry kept a seat warm for him all this time. The series picks up the thread of that legacy in the present day and asks what happens when a story everyone thought was finished refuses to stay in the past.

Keng Harit Buayoi leads the cast and is credited with two names, Phumek and Duean, a detail that hints at a link between the past and the present. Namping Napatsakorn Pingmuang plays Phakai. Mean Phiravich Attachitsataporn, Jaruwat Cheawaram and Pure Duangjai Hiransri are also named in the cast.

Keng and Namping already lead Khemjira Forever for the same studio, so this is a second outing for the pair. Domundi released the official pilot on the Mandee Channel on YouTube on 18 June 2026 as part of its DMD LINE UP 2026 programme, called The Rise Continues.

A star who never set

I have a soft spot for stories about the entertainment industry, because they let a show talk about fame, memory and the people behind the posters all at once. Still Holding Up Like the Moon goes one better and sets its heart on an actor from forty years ago whose name still hangs over the business. That is such a romantic, slightly haunting place to start.

The nickname alone, The Eternal Moon, made me grin. Thai titles love a celestial image, and here the moon is both a pet name for a lost star and the title's promise that something keeps shining long after it should have faded.

One actor, two names

The casting detail I keep coming back to is Keng Harit playing both Phumek and Duean. A lead credited with two names in a story about the past and the present is a big flashing sign that the timelines will touch. I am not going to guess how, because the official material keeps that secret, but I am very much here for it.

Namping as Phakai is the other half of the pair. After seeing these two set up as leads in Khemjira Forever, I am delighted that Domundi is trusting them with a second story with such a different mood.

A story about legacy

What moves me about this setup is that it is about remembering. A whole industry still feels the absence of one young actor, decades later. That gives the romance a backdrop of grief and admiration, and I am already stocking up on tissues.

Before the curtain rises

This page covers what has been announced: the official pilot, the main cast, the character names and the short official outline. Domundi has not shared a premiere date, platform or episode count, so I am not scoring anything yet. When the moon finally rises on screen I will be back with a full review.
