About this archive
Theatrical is for the BL titles that opened in cinemas instead of on TV or streaming first. Big screen, big feelings, and sometimes a popcorn bucket to hold onto during the emotional parts.
Here you will find Twilight’s Kiss, the Hong Kong film about two older men whose paths cross late in life, plus the live action Cherry Magic! movie and the Cherry Magic anime movie from Japan. Many cinema releases later move to streaming, so each title page tells you where you can watch it now.
This is a lovely page if you like your love stories in one sitting with a proper beginning, middle and end. My tip: if you are a Cherry Magic fan, watch the live action movie and the anime movie back to back and compare how each one wraps the story up. Then save Twilight’s Kiss for a quiet evening, because that one deserves your full attention.
