About this archive
Video platforms have become a route into this industry rather than a sideline from it. People credited here built an audience directly, through channels, short video, streaming or podcasting, and that audience is itself a professional asset: it can be brought to a production, and casting decisions in several markets take it into account.
What the work involves varies. Some creators write, shoot and edit their own material and are effectively an independent production unit. Others host, review or report on the BL and GL scene, interviewing performers and following releases, and function as part of the promotional ecosystem around it. A third group treats the platform as a shop window, moving into scripted roles once a following exists. The boundary with acting, hosting and modelling is porous, and many profiles carry more than one of these credits.
The credit matters to anyone tracing a career because it often explains a sequence that otherwise looks abrupt: a first leading role with no prior screen work behind it usually has a platform history behind it instead. It also flags people whose main body of work lives outside conventional filmographies and will never appear in a cast list.
