BIOGRAPHY
Charlotte Austin (Thai: ชาล็อต ออสติน; born 21 December 1998 in Phuket) is a Thai actress who came to the screen through the Miss Grand pageant system. Since 2023 almost all of her major roles have been shared with Engfa Waraha, the woman who won the national crown she competed for.
Her pageant year was 2022. On 27 February she was crowned Miss Grand Chumphon at the Nana Buri Hotel in Chumphon, which sent her to the national final of Miss Grand Thailand 2022. There she finished as fifth runner up, in the edition won by Engfa Waraha of Bangkok on 30 April. Later that year both women appeared as themselves on the programme If The World Doesn’t Have GPS.
Acting followed quickly. In Show Me Love, released on YouTube in nine episodes from 28 February to 28 April 2023, she played Cherine (also spelled Sherene), who asks a small town girl named Meena, played by Engfa, to compete in Miss Grand for her agency. The story mirrors their own pageant background, and the romance between the two characters grows out of Meena’s run for the crown. In 2024 she joined the Channel 3 remake Mon Rak Luk Thung 2567 (released in English as Falling in Love) as Thongkwao across twelve episodes, and played Irene in Club Friday The Series 16: Love Bully on One31.
Her best known role arrived on 23 November 2024, when Petrichor premiered on One31. She plays Cherran, a doctor from the Institute of Forensic Sciences with a methodical, evidence first approach, who crosses paths with Tul, a rookie officer of the Criminal Investigation Department played by Engfa, on Tul’s first field deployment. Their case is a murder that seems to copy a string of killings from eighteen years earlier, and the series lets professional friction slowly turn into trust and attraction across ten weekly episodes that ran until 1 February 2025. The story comes from a web novel by SixTeenSeven, and the production is by iQIYI Pictures and TV Thunder.
In 2025 she played Ray, full name Leliya Airmes, in the ten episode series Unlimited Love, once again in a cast with Engfa. The four part 4 Elements project followed in 2026 on Channel 7: she plays Chonlada Kunanon, called Lada, in The Water, which premiered on 21 March 2026. Lada is a new receptionist whose mischief turns the work focused life of hotel heir Apo, played by Engfa, upside down, and Charlotte returns as Lada in The Air and The Fire. Her 2026 credits also include the eight episode series The Rules.
Can we talk about how rare this is? Two women meet at the same national pageant, one wins the crown, the other places fifth runner up, and within a year they are a screen pair that keeps getting cast together. Charlotte is the cool half of that pairing. Watch her for precision: Cherran thinks before she speaks, and Charlotte plays that stillness so well that every crack in it feels like a big moment.
Start with Petrichor. It is the clearest showcase for her, the crime story gives Cherran real work to do, and the slow warming between doctor and detective is very satisfying. If you want lighter company afterwards, go back to the YouTube series Show Me Love, where the pairing first started.
