Chris Wu

Chris Wu is a Taiwanese actor and singer who trained at the National Taiwan College of Performing Arts, where the curriculum covers Chinese opera performance, acrobatics and martial arts. He began in music as a member of the idol group Super131, performing under the stage name Wu Zi Hao, and appeared on screen from 2012 in the series Sweet Sweet Bodyguard. After Super131 disbanded in 2014 he continued performing with former bandmates, completed military service between 2015 and 2017, and returned to work under the name Wu Cheng Yang. In 2017 he received the Model Star prize at the Asia Model Awards. He played the gang leader Tang Yi opposite Jake Hsu in the 2019 boys love series HIStory3: Trapped, which brought him attention outside Taiwan. His other screen credits include the films More Than Blue, Big Three Dragons, Your Name Engraved Herein and Organ Child, together with the series The Art of Position, Amensalism, Youngsters on Fire and What the Hell Is Love.
