Great Sapol Assawamunkong

Sapol Assawamunkong (สพล อัศวมั่นคง), nicknamed Great, is a Thai actor signed to GMMTV. He was born on 6 December 1993 in Bangkok, finished high school at Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) and went on to study at the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology at Thammasat University.

He started out in 2015, the year he made his acting debut as Key in Room Alone 2, and he won The Cleo Most Eligible Bachelor 2016. In 2017 he played Pong in Bangkok Love Stories: Please. In 2018 he signed a five year contract with Channel 7, where he led Rak Wan Ban Wun as Saoek and took a supporting part as Theeranun in Jao Sao Chang Yon.

The following years gave him two very different leading parts. He was Jerd in the horror romance film Inhuman Kiss and Sarn in the Channel 7 drama Song Naree, released in English as Two Women. In 2020 he played Inspector M, whose full name is Jirapat Polpraseit, in Manner of Death on WeTV, a role that brought him wider attention. He also released the duet Too Little, Too Late with Kao Noppakao in September 2020.

In 2022 he signed a five year contract with GMMTV and led Catch Me Baby as Phat. In 2024 he played Saint in Beauty Newbie and Yoryak in Wandee Goodday, both on GMM25, and in 2025 he took the main role of Theerathon in the period series Memoir of Rati. In 2026 he plays Doctor Pom in Cat for Cash and Tong in Wu, and makes a guest appearance in Only Friends: Dream On.

His part in Lovers & Gangsters is Zeng, the leader of the Klookfoon Gang that controls the Phra Nakhon side of the river in 1956. His rival is Force Jiratchapong Srisang as Sen, his younger brother Yong is played by Book Kasidet Plookphol, and his own love story is with Zo, the newest member of his gang, played by Bright Rapheephong Thapsuwan. The series is set to premiere on One 31 and oneD on 30 October 2026.

His film work runs alongside the television list. After Inhuman Kiss he played Thong in OM! Crush On Me in 2021, and in 2023 he took main roles in three films: Dom in Mondo, Day in Postman and Win in Ghost Rookie. On television he also played Kring Khlongtakhian in Miraculous 5 and Saknarong in Sweet Prison for Channel 7 in 2022, Jiraphat in the TrueID series Start-Up in 2024, and Krit Wonrat in the second season of the Japanese series Octo: Kanjo Sosakan Shinno Akari on YTV. At GMMTV he was first paired with Sarin Ronnakiat, and he is cast as Mix in the upcoming series Twenty One.
