Huang Chun Chih

Huang Chun Chih is a Taiwanese model and actor. He graduated from the National Taiwan University of Arts and worked in modelling before acting, appearing in video campaigns and photo shoots for domestic and international fashion labels. He moved into screen work in 2019, playing Yu Xi Gu, a student holding down several part time jobs, in the boys love series HIStory3: Make Our Days Count, opposite Wayne Song. He followed it with a small part in the 2020 Japanese and Taiwanese co-production Life: Love on the Line and a leading role in the 2021 film One Afternoon. Later credits include a guest appearance in the 2022 series Plus & Minus, a supporting role as Juan in the 2023 series Kiseki: Dear to Me, an appearance in the 2023 medical film Eye of the Storm, a guest role in See Your Love in 2024, and supporting parts in the 2025 series Formosa Sebiro and the film Haunted Mountains: The Yellow Taboo. He continues to combine modelling assignments with acting work.

He was working as a model before he moved into screen acting, and the Bella interview that introduced him framed his story as a move from modelling to the web drama 那一天. He was cast in HIStory3: Make Our Days Count (那一天) as one of a largely untried group of performers, and producer Yeh Yu Cheng (葉昱呈) said his bearing and overall image were close to how the team had pictured the character when reading the script, down to points in common in temperament. The mostly new HIStory3 cast worked with acting coach Huang Ti Yang (黃迪揚) in preparation.

For the Public Television Service student drama 非常規跑者 (2024) he played a hearing impaired boy. He carried a set of earplugs and wore them at times so he could experience sound being harder to make out, and he studied video to test whether the placement and resonance of the voice should differ, trying many different vocal placements before settling on one.

In his own words. "I bought a set of earplugs and kept them on me. Sometimes I would put them in, so I could feel what it is like when sound is harder to make out."
