Oliver Bever
BIOGRAPHY
Oliver Bever (Thai: โอลิเวอร์ บีเวอร์; born October 27, 1971) is an actor and television director working in the Thai industry. His screen career runs to twenty-five acting credits from 1996 to 2026, and alongside it he has ten directing, producing and creator credits. He plays Decha in Your Third (2026), the father of the Adisuan household.
He began in film in the mid-1990s. Warn Tung Loke Khok Hua Thur came out in 1996, followed by Satang (2000), Sin Sisters (2002), In the Name of Godfather (2003) and Lizard Woman (2004). Television took over from 2006, and from then until the mid-2010s he worked almost continuously in Thai drama.
That stretch includes Phor Nu Pen Superstar (2010), Bonded Hearts (2010), Khun Dej (2012), Heated Shadow (2012), The Five Brothers (2013), Beauty On the Run (2013), Nang Rai Sai Lab (2013), Nai Suan Kwan (2014), Koom Nang Kruan (2014) and The Thunder Punch (2014). Most run to twelve or more episodes.
His directing career started in 2016. He directed Khun Krating that year, then The Final of Six Elements (2018), Revive to Kill (2019), The Outlaw (2020) and The Influential (2022). On several of these he also appeared on screen. Mekong (2023) credits him as both director and creator, and he produced Marvellous Love the same year.
His most recent work before Your Third was Private Operation (2025), on which he is credited three ways: as an actor playing Jack, as director, and as executive producer.
Mekong is an action adventure fantasy drama, a remake of a 2001 series that was itself drawn from a 1995 novel by Paul Adirex. It ran on Channel 7 HD from 6 November 2023 to 4 January 2024 in thirty four episodes of about an hour. Bever had appeared in the 2001 version, and he said of the remake that it is the most faithful to the novel, although some scenes have been added. Its story follows a former special forces officer who goes looking for missing American soldiers along the river and meets the mythical serpent Phaya Nak.
Your Third premiered on GMM25 on 26 July 2026 and streams on iQIYI, in twelve episodes directed by Thanamin Wongskulphat. It adapts a novel by Laila for the producers Mandee Work, Domundi TV and Copy A Bangkok, and Bever appears in the supporting cast alongside Thanakrit Chamchunya as Song and Tassapon Vividwarth as Sib.
The Dad of the Adisuan House
In Your Third, the 2026 GMM25 series adapted from Laila’s novel, Oliver Bever plays Decha, the father of the Adisuan household and Sarm’s dad. Twelve episodes, on iQIYI as well, directed by Thanamin Wongskulphat, with Thanakrit Chamchunya as Song and Tassapon Vividwarth as Sib. When a veteran like this turns up as the parent, you know the family scenes are in good hands.
A Long Run in Thai Drama
His acting goes back to Warn Tung Loke Khok Hua Thur in 1996, where he played Gerrard, then films like Satang, Sin Sisters and Lizard Woman. From 2006 it was television nearly non-stop: Bonded Hearts, Khun Dej, The Five Brothers, Beauty On the Run, The Thunder Punch and plenty more. If you have dipped into Thai lakorn, he has probably been in the room.
Then He Moved Behind the Camera
From 2016 he started directing: Khun Krating, The Final of Six Elements, Revive to Kill, The Outlaw, The Influential, sometimes appearing on screen in his own shows too. The big one is Mekong, thirty four episodes on Channel 7 HD from November 2023, where he is director and creator: a former special forces officer searches for missing American soldiers along the river and meets the serpent Phaya Nak. He was in the 2001 version too, and called the remake the most faithful to Paul Adirex’s novel. On Private Operation in 2025 he went triple: actor, director and executive producer.
