Chen Yan-syu

Chen Yan-syu (Chinese: 陳彥旭; also romanised Chen Yan Xu and Chen Yen-hsu; born January 25, 2007) is a Taiwanese singer and actor. He performs under the mononym Yanxu as a member of the seven-piece T-Pop boy group F.F.O, and is managed by TPOP Entertainment in partnership with Black Belt Entertainment.

He reached the group through Taiwan’s Atom Boyz idol survival franchise, appearing as a contestant before being placed in the line-up that became F.F.O. The group launched in late 2024 and takes its name from the twin readings “Farfarout” and “Future For One”, the image of boys arriving from a distant asteroid, and a promise directed at the fanbase. Its other members are Junjia, Junxi, Xiao Xin, Shengming, Ryushi Kato and Zhiqi. Within a year of forming, F.F.O had moved from talent-show visibility to arena-scale fan events, a Taipei signing tour and preparations for a Japanese-market release, and the group’s internal dynamics, including a widely reported argument that Chen himself publicly defused with an apology, became a recurring subject in Taiwanese entertainment press.

In 2026 he made his acting debut in the Taiwanese BL series Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars, playing the teenage He Xiang-yong across all twelve episodes and forming the drama’s adolescent pairing with Max Kuo, who plays the teenage Chen Hao-wei. At the series preview screening he said he had never expected to be cast in a drama at all, described the audition as an ordeal of nerves, and credited his scene partner with carrying him through it.
