Po Yen-hua

Po Yen-hua (Chinese: 柏妍樺; known professionally as Bobo; born March 1, 2000) is a Taiwanese actor signed to iStar Entertainment. She came to acting by an unusually indirect route: she read Electronic Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and was on course for a career in the technology sector when modelling work in her third year pulled her towards performance.

She left that track in 2022, forgoing a graduate degree and an engineering salary against her family’s objections, and spent her first years in the industry supporting herself with cram-school maths teaching, coffee-shop shifts, house cleaning, leaflet distribution and removals work. Her early professional record is built on commercials and print campaigns, Galaxy Tab S8, Corona, Mouser Electronics, OB Select, Stayreal, Reebok and Columbia, alongside the 2022 short Together Together Together.

Her first substantial screen role was in a sixty-episode Taiwanese daily drama, a job she has described as a trial by fire in which she only began to understand her own craft around the fifty-fifth episode. She followed it with the ghost character A-Lien in a period drama, a seventeen-year-old frozen in 1945 and waiting eighty years for a first love, for which she researched twentieth-century Taiwanese history in depth; the veteran actor Ko Shu-yuan coached her through the shoot. Her TMDB-listed credits are Our Wife Lina (2023), Our Honorary Photo Studio (2024), the film Mudborn (2025) as Hsiao-Chao, and the 2026 BL series Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars, in which she plays Bai Mei-lin. She has also been announced in the ensemble of the GL series Her Lips, Her Kiss. She stands 162 cm (5’4″).
