Sathanapong Limwongthong
BIOGRAPHY
Sathanapong Limwongthong (Thai: ศฐาณพงศ์ ลิ้มวงษ์ทอง), known by the nickname Nob (ณ็อบ), is a Thai director and producer. He directs Magic Move (2026, 10 episodes). His credit list holds eleven boys’ love titles across a decade, with only two directing credits outside the genre.
He began directing in 2016 with Sweet Boy. He directed Mind Memory in 2017, then returned to the genre and stayed in it: Hotel Stars (2019, 12 episodes), Gen Y (2020, 12 episodes), and then in 2022 three separate BL productions, Only Love You, Mice, Ai Long Nhai (12 episodes) and La Cuisine (13 episodes).
Ai Long Nhai grew into a small franchise under him. He directed the series in 2022, then Ai Long Nhai: The Endless Love in 2023, a feature cut from the series material, and Ai Nhai, a special episode, the same year. He also directed Black Magic Mask (2023), which sits outside the genre.
His recent work includes The Renovation (2024), Reloved (2025, 10 episodes, a romantic comedy built around a single father) and Magic Move (2026). He has moved into producing alongside directing, with producer credits on Panyi I Sea You (2026) and Behind the Screens (2026), and both director and producer credits on Televil, currently dated 2027.
Two recent series in closer view
Reloved (เริ่มใหม่หัวใจเดิม) is a romantic comedy and drama about second chances. Two former partners meet again years later as fathers, because their children go to the same school, and they have to face the past they left behind. It runs to ten episodes of close to fifty minutes, and ONE 31 broadcasts it in Thailand.
Magic Move (ทำนายทายรัก) begins with an architecture student, Ritt, who becomes a viral fortune teller by accident. His predictions turn out to be accurate, and they pull him into a chaotic romance with Itthi, the heir to a real estate family, who asks him to help find a childhood friend. Ball Naphatsak Ekpattanaphiwat plays Ritt and Deam Wutthiphat Rungcharoenareechit plays Itthi. The series premiered on ONE 31 on 21 April 2026.
Sathanapong Limwongthong has directed eleven boys’ love titles since 2016.
Of his thirteen directing credits, only Mind Memory (2017) and Black Magic Mask (2023) fall outside the genre, and his first directing credit, Sweet Boy, is itself a boys’ love title.
The years are not evenly loaded. Six of the thirteen directing credits sit in 2022 and 2023, three in each, while 2024, 2025 and 2026 carry one apiece. Where episode counts are given they stay in a tight band of ten to thirteen, with La Cuisine at thirteen, Hotel Stars, Gen Y and Ai Long Nhai at twelve, and Reloved and Magic Move at ten. Ai Long Nhai is the one story told in three forms, a series, a feature and a special episode, and the two-episode The Renovation is the shortest title on the list.
In my view the best way into his work is Gen Y, which gives the clearest picture of his ensemble style from 2020. Magic Move is the second stop, since it shows what he does with a light comic premise and a younger cast.
