My Stand-In
What happens
Joe (Poom Phuripan Sapsangsawat) is a stuntman who doubles for the actor Tong (Jirakit Thawornwong). He forms a deep bond with Ming (Up Poompat Iam-samang), heir to the film company that employs him, and loves him for years without getting anything back, while Ming sees him as Tong's replacement. Then comes a betrayal and a fatal accident, and Joe wakes in another man's body and returns to Ming's life as somebody else.
Supporting storylines follow Sol (Tanathorn Charoenratanaporn), Jim (Possathorn Wittanyaprechapol) and Yim (Chaiyut Panchukiat). The series is filed under romance, drama, fantasy and thriller.
The story is adapted from a Chinese web novel by Shui Qiancheng, and its characters became Joe and Ming on screen. YYDS Entertainment made the series as an iQIYI Original, with Wan Thabkrajang producing and Banchorn Vorasataree directing. Pongsate Lucksameepong wrote the screenplay. Twelve episodes went out on Fridays at 20:00 from 26 April to 12 July 2024, with runtimes between 48 and 65 minutes. iQIYI streams the series in an uncut edition, a free cut edition and a Spanish-dubbed edition. Up Poompat took Leading Boys' Love Star of the Year at the Y Entertain Awards 2024 for the role.
Wan Thabkrajang, known as Yuan, produced, and Kongkiat Khomsiri joined Banchorn Vorasataree on the creative team, both from KinnPorsche.
