You Are My Present

Tee (Poom Phuripan Sapsangsawat) comes home to sell an old building. Poom (Up Poompat Iam-samang) runs the cafe on its ground floor, and used to be his lover. They meet as a seller and a sitting tenant before they meet as anything else, which means that whatever gets settled between them is settled as a property matter, and the thing to be disposed of is the room where the relationship happened.

The reason these two are in the same space is contractual, and one of them holds the power to end the other's business, so the negotiation and the reconciliation become the same conversation. The English title carries a sense the Japanese katakana cannot: present is a gift in both languages, and in English it is equally the time that is not the past.

The format is twenty episodes of roughly one to two minutes each, shot vertically in the 9:16 ratio of a phone held upright and released all at once on 8 August 2025 on the Japanese smartphone app SWIPEDRAMA. It is a Japanese commission, filmed entirely on location in Thailand with a Thai cast and two credited performers. The pair first played opposite each other in the 2024 series My Stand-In, and that series was the stated reason for putting the two back together. One caution for anyone reading the credits, since the names cross over: the character called Poom is played by the actor called Up.
