About this archive
Idol stories happen inside the pop music machine. At least one lead is a working idol, a trainee or a group member, and the contracts, schedules, agency and fans all press on the romance. A famous singer alone does not count.
That pressure is the point. An idol’s public image is a managed product, and any romance threatens it, so the couple hides because the job demands it, no villain required. The story then asks what it costs to be visible for a living while keeping the one real thing private.
You will find Only Boo! and Lost to Light from Thailand, Love Class Season 3 from Korea, Dual Stars from Taiwan and Not Yours, a China and Thailand co production. My tip: start with
Only Boo! for comedy and music, then go to Love Class Season 3 or Not Yours when you want more melodrama and forbidden love. Lightsticks up, hearts ready.
