Three girls’ love series directed inside five months in 2026, on top of two more in the two years before that, for three unrelated companies. Whatever the Thai GL boom is, this is one of the people physically making it.

And it is not a solo effort. Tinna Simapaisal wrote four of the five. The same writer and the same director made The Loyal Pin for Idol Factory in 2024 and then the entire elemental sequence for North Star Entertainment and Channel 7 in 2026. That is a working partnership, moved intact from one production company to another, and it is the closest thing to a Thai GL authorship team documented anywhere in this catalogue.

The company list around them is the other half of the picture, and it is startlingly wide. Idol Factory, the studio behind GAP. VelCurve Studio, known here for the GL science fiction feature Uranus 2324 and now making a GL series for Channel 3 as well. North Star Entertainment, whose entire eight title slate is girls’ love. Three companies, none of them owned by the others on the available record, all commissioning the same director.

Then set the GL work against the rest of this filmography. Seventeen episodes. Fourteen. Twelve. Sixteen. Twenty. Twenty two. That is what this director does when the show is not queer, and it is the ordinary scale of Thai television. The GL series run sixteen, ten, eight, eight, eight. The tempting reading is that queer drama gets a shorter leash, but on this record the eight episode format looks less like a ceiling and more like the shape of a particular Channel 7 strand that one director was hired to deliver four times over.

What the record will not explain is why the same person keeps getting these jobs. It could be specialisation, or availability, or simply that a director who can deliver twenty two episodes of lakorn on schedule is exactly who you want when you have committed to a girls’ love series every eight weeks.
