No walk-ons, no small parts: LaFolk’s very first credit is a lead. In Lost to Light he plays Mai, a guitarist who turns up to help a struggling T-POP group while hiding who he really is. A man with a secret joining a band that badly needs him? That is a hook I would happily sit through twice.

Mascot Costumes and Big Dreams

The setup is gloriously fun. The idol group once dreamed of fame and has fallen to singing children’s songs in mascot costumes. Jeng, played by Phemadech Vattanapati, is trying to rebuild it by recruiting new members, and Mai is one of them. Alongside that, the label owner Sithian runs into his former boyfriend Bailiu. Two romances, one very chaotic music label.

Five Saturdays, Pick Your Cut

Five episodes on GMM 25, one every Saturday from 20 June to 18 July 2026. You can choose your cut, too: an uncut version on iQIYI or an edited one on Ultimate Troop’s YouTube channel. My tip: start with Mai’s scenes with Jeng, because that pairing drives the main story. And keep an eye out for the director, Tonnam Piamchon Damrongsunthornchai, who pops up in a special appearance.
