Pongsakorn Mettarikanon
BIOGRAPHY
Pongsakorn Mettarikanon (Thai: พงศกร เมตตาริกานนท์; born 25 February 1992), known by his nickname Toey (เต้ย), is a Thai actor whose work runs from Channel 3 period drama to feature films and, in 2026, a WeTV boys’ love mystery.
He entered the entertainment industry through the talent search The Idol Project 2, where he won the title Top of The Idol. His first drama role came in The Five Brothers (2013), one of the stories in the Thai Gentlemen series, where he played Sub. Lt. Chumpol Wongsawan, nicknamed Joi, across eleven episodes.
2015 was a busy year on both screens. On television he played Thap in the eighteen episode series Bang Rajan, and in cinema he appeared as Kong in The Black Death, took the title role in the film Pantai Norasingh and had a part in Love Is. The Pantai Norasingh story followed him back to television in 2016, when he played Sing in the nineteen episode series Puntai Norasingh. The same year brought Golden Bangle, where he was credited as Inthawong / Direk.
Channel 3 then gave him a run of romance and period work. He played Khong Thamdee in My Hero Series and Hayman in Cupid’s Command, a story from The Cupids Series, both in 2018. In 2019 came Candle in the Sun (Plerng Prang Tian), with the role of Prince Thewarit / In Wiangraming, and in 2020 he played Kimhan in Fated Love and Phu / Tong in Fade Away. Two 2022 dramas followed: A Cunning Destiny as Chinnakrit and Tie Me (K)not as Muen Mile.
His recent credits mix television and film. He played Suea Phat / Mai / Kla in the twenty episode Channel 3 drama The Invincible (2024) and Sek in the feature The Paradise of Thorns the same year. In 2025 he was Jade in the series Top Form and Phraya Pha Mueang / Phoom in the film Phra Ruang: Rise of The Empire. His 2026 slate includes Chalit in Pinanong, Suea Boon in The Outlaws: Revengeful Judgement, the series The Legacy and the role of Singhala in the film Nakee 3: The Cursed War.
Also in 2026 he plays Jirat, a forensic doctor, in NOUR, the WeTV Original written and directed by Wasakorn Khumklaowiriya. Jirat and his assistant Chita, played by Chawonwat Thongyoo, are pulled into the arson case at the centre of the story, and the series presents the two as its second key couple beside the leads. Toey appears in all ten episodes, which aired from 25 August to 14 October 2026.
Confession time: I love it when an actor with a long period drama past walks into a BL and plays the calm doctor with the forensic files. That is Toey in NOUR. Jirat is the grown up in the room, and the fun is watching him get dragged, very politely, into a case full of supernatural secrets with his assistant Chita right at his elbow.
Here is my favourite little detail. Toey’s name appears on all three series Wasakorn Khumklaowiriya has directed so far: Top Form, Akina and NOUR. A director coming back to the same actor three times tells you something about trust.
Where to begin? Watch NOUR first for the Jirat and Chita pairing, then go back to Candle in the Sun if you want to see him in full Channel 3 royal drama mode. If you would rather stay modern, Top Form is the bridge between the two.
