Sasinan Pattana
BIOGRAPHY
Sasinan Pattana (ศศินันท์ พัฒนะ), credited as Prang (ปราง), is a Thai director and acting coach. The TMDB biography states that she studied performing arts at Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Communication Arts and holds a master’s degree in aesthetic communication.
The record opens with small acting parts: a teacher in Fathers (2016), a nurse in The Promise (เพื่อน..ที่ระลึก, 2017) and a computer teacher in Brother of the Year (น้องพี่ที่รัก, 2018). In 2024 a dramaturgy credit appears on the film Love You To Debt (เธอฟอร์แคช).
From mid 2024 the directing credits begin, and almost all of them are GMMTV productions for GMM 25:
- The Trainee (ฝึกงานเทอมนี้ รักพี่ได้มั้ย), twelve episodes from 30 June 2024. Classified girls’ love (gl), set inside the film industry, about an intern and a mentor.
- Break Up Service (บริษัทลดรักเลิก), twelve episodes from 31 March 2025, adapted from a webtoon and carried on YouTube, TrueVisions and GMM 25. It has no queer classification on record and none is claimed here.
- MuTeLuv (โปรดใช้วิจารณญาณในการรักเธอ), a twenty eight episode anthology from 25 August 2025 made with Parbdee Tawesuk, classified boys’ love (bl). Sasinan directed four of its episodes and also appears in one as a reporter.
- You Maniac (เดี๋ยวจะรักซะให้บ้า), ten episodes from 29 August 2026, classified boys’ love (bl) and queer.
Between those, in October 2025, comes a different kind of credit. On Love Moment (บทรัก), an eight episode Thai girls’ love reality competition carried on WeTV, Channel 3 and YouTube and produced by WeTV with Kantana Motion Pictures, Sasinan appears as herself, credited as coach. The format brings together eight women who want to act and puts them in one house.
TMDB holds no birth date, no birthplace and no social accounts for this director.
BLGLFlix editorial view
This record answers a question the Korean side of the catalogue raises, and the contrast is stark enough to be worth spelling out.
Korea’s queer reality show is His Man, a dating format on wavve. When a Korean director needed a cast for a six episode BL web series, he took two people out of it. That is opportunism, and it works, but nobody designed it.
Thailand’s equivalent is Love Moment: a girls’ love reality competition whose contestants are specifically people who want to act, living together, with a professional acting coach attached to the programme. And that coach is a working GMMTV director with a master’s degree in performance, who in the same two years directed a GL series, four episodes of a BL anthology and a ten episode BL series for the same studio.
Thailand did not stumble into a casting pool. It built one, staffed it with someone who trains actors for a living, and put it on television. This is what the Thai profiles in this catalogue keep pointing at from different angles: the queer content is not the improvisation. It is the industrialised part.
The other thing worth recording is the range on this single record. A GL workplace drama, a BL anthology, a webtoon romance with no queer classification at all, a BL series, and an appearance as a coach on a GL reality show. Nobody here is a BL specialist or a GL specialist. They are a GMMTV director who takes whatever the studio is making, and the studio is making a lot of it.
