Ryota Suzuki

BIOGRAPHY

Ryota Suzuki (Japanese: 鈴木崚汰; born December 22, 1998) is a Japanese voice actor signed to DASH ON, the company he founded in 2025 and where he serves as representative director. He is known to BL audiences as the voice of Kurosawa Yuichi (黒沢優一) in the 2024 anime adaptation of Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!

Suzuki was born in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, and raised in Chiba Prefecture. He attended Chiba Prefectural Kemigawa High School and enrolled at the Japan Narration Acting Institute in the April of his second year there. In his third year he won the recitation division of the 63rd NHK Cup National High School Broadcasting Contest in 2016, and joined an agency at around the same time. He went on to serve as master of ceremonies at the opening ceremony of the National High School Baseball Championship in 2017.

His first credited anime work dates from 2016, with Aichara 2 on NTV and a minor part in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. His breakthrough came as Yu Ishigami in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, a role he played across the series from 2019 to 2023. Other leading roles include Ryusui Nanami in Dr. Stone (2022-2025), Bisco Akaboshi in Sabikui Bisco (2022), Isami Ao in Brave Bang Bravern! (2024), Yamcha in Dragon Ball Daima (2024) and Trey Clover in Disney Twisted-Wonderland.

On April 1, 2025, marking his tenth year of voice acting, Suzuki left the agency TMS Music and founded DASH ON, where he serves as representative director. Announcing the move, he said that although he remained inexperienced, he wished to explore new possibilities in his range of expression and had decided to go independent. Note that both the Japanese and English Wikipedia articles about him still list TMS Music as his agency; contemporary trade reporting supersedes them.

In Cherry Magic he plays Kurosawa Yuichi, the colleague whose sincere affection for Adachi drives the story, in the twelve-episode television anime animated by Satelight and broadcast on TV Tokyo from January to March 2024, and he reprises the role in the compilation film released on December 13, 2024. Both are catalogued on BLGLFLIX as separate title records, WP 1638 for the anime series and WP 1641 for the anime film, and Suzuki is credited on each as voice actor.

He should not be confused with the performers who play Kurosawa in other adaptations: the role is played by Keita Machida in the 2020 TV Tokyo live-action drama and the 2022 film, and by Yoshihiko Aramaki in the 2025 stage musical. The three are entirely separate people, and Japanese sources reserve the billing term shuen (主演, “starring”) for the live-action and stage casts rather than for the anime voice cast.
