"Petrichor The Series" follows Tul (Engfa Waraha), a police captain navigating her first major field assignment, as she is partnered with Cherran (Charlotte Austin), a forensic doctor whose methodical, evidence-first approach clashes almost immediately with Tul's instinct-driven style. The two are thrown together by a new investigation into a violent crime, and what begins as friction between two very different professionals slowly turns into a working partnership neither of them expected to need, let alone want. Their early scenes together are defined by mismatched priorities and short tempers, setting up a dynamic the series spends its ten episodes methodically breaking down.

The case that binds them together is a murder that appears to mirror a string of killings attributed to a serial offender active eighteen years earlier, raising an uncomfortable question for both leads: is the original killer back, or is someone using the old crimes as a blueprint for something new? As Tul and Cherran dig deeper into old case files and fresh evidence, the investigation pulls in colleagues May (Malin Sae-lim) and Jiu (Rina Chatamonchai), each of whom carries a personal stake in how the case unfolds. Produced by iQIYI Pictures and TV Thunder for Thai broadcaster ONE 31, "Petrichor The Series" balances a crime procedural structure with a slow-burn GL romance at its center, using the demands of the investigation itself as the space where Tul and Cherran are forced to learn to trust each other. The series aired weekly from November 2024 through February 2025, closing out its ten-episode run with the case resolved and both women changed by everything the investigation pushed them to confront, both about the killer they were chasing and about each other.
