Petrichor (Thai: หยดฝนกลิ่นสนิม, raindrops that smell of rust) is a Thai Girls' Love crime web novel by SIXTEENSEVEN. The author's own line for it is that instead of the smell of rain, there is blood mixed in with it.

Tul is a police officer who works by instinct. Cherunchon is a forensic doctor who will not move without evidence. They are put on the same violent case, and neither is willing to work the other's way. The case forces both of them to concede ground professionally before anything else can happen.

Tul's first field deployment puts her beside the forensic doctor, and the partnership that follows is built on each woman learning to trust the other's standard of proof. The novel was serialised chapter by chapter from 10 November 2022 on MaReads and ReadAWrite, where the Thai text runs to forty chapters and the last is marked as the end. Libery Publishing later issued a two-volume print edition.

The 2024 series Petrichor adapts it, with Engfa Waraha and Charlotte Austin as the two leads. It aired on One 31 from 23 November 2024 to 1 February 2025, ten episodes of about 45 minutes, with the uncut version on iQIYI an hour after each Saturday broadcast. Poy Pannares directed, and the production came from iQIYI Pictures and TV Thunder with a screenplay by Sammon.

Petrichor starts from a professional mismatch rather than a romance. Tul works by instinct and Cherunchon will not move without evidence, so the first thing the two women have to build is a method they can both use. Every step toward each other is a step toward the other's standard of proof, which gives the relationship a working shape: it grows out of the case, not out of coincidence.

The Thai text runs to forty chapters on ReadAWrite, the last of them marked as the end. That is a compact length for a crime story, and it suits a plot organised around one violent case, where a chapter can close on a finding and the next can begin from it.
