Noth Getsunova (Panoth Khunprasert)
BIOGRAPHY
Noth Getsunova, real name Panot Khunprasert (Thai: ปณต คุณประเสริฐ), is a Thai musician, songwriter, composer and producer. He plays guitar and synthesizers in the pop-rock band Getsunova, and is one of the two credited composers on GMMTV’s Cherry Magic (2023) alongside Afu Narongsak Sribandasakwatcharakorn.
“Getsunova” is not a surname. It is the name of his band, and the credit “Noth Getsunova” follows the ordinary Thai convention of attaching a musician’s group to their nickname. The band’s line-up is Prakarn Raiva (Name) on lead vocals, Natee Osathanugrah on guitar, Panot Khunprasert (Noth) on guitar and synthesizers, and Komkadech Sangwattanaroj (Prite) on drums. The Thai credit form is ณต เก็ตสึโนวา, and his legal name is also romanised Panoth Khunprasert and Panot Khunprasoet.
Getsunova came together when Prakarn Raiva, a former GMM Grammy soloist and heir to the S&P restaurant group, invited two friends who were studying in the United Kingdom, Natee Osathanugrah and Noth, to play with him. Noth in turn brought in Komkadech Sangwattanaroj on drums. The band’s first single, “กล่อม”, appeared in 2007, and it signed to Sanamluang in 2008. It moved to Duckbar in 2009 and to White Music, a GMM Grammy imprint, in 2015, and its singles include “ไกลแค่ไหน คือ ใกล้” (2012), “คำถามซึ่งไร้คนตอบ” (2013) and “อยู่ตรงนี้ นานกว่านี้” (2014).
He also records under his own name. His first solo releases, the singles ติดรึยัง? and เบื่อ เบื่อ เบื่อ, the latter with the rapper YOUNGOHM, came out together on 28 April 2020 through Taktangmuankan Co., Ltd., away from the band’s label. ยอมเปย์ followed later that year, and อีกครั้ง and Lalalalisa in 2021. Apple Music carries an editorial playlist titled The Producers: Noth Getsunova, and he is credited as a featured artist on releases by ALALA and RachYO.
His screen work sits alongside all of this. He wrote and co-arranged พลังวิเศษของคนไม่พิเศษ (Everything Is Magic), the Cherry Magic theme sung by New Thitipoom Techaapaikhun for GMMTV Records, and his composing credits run from I Wanna Be Sup’Tar (2015) and Theory of Love (2019) through Who Are You (2020), Something in the Wind, Faceless Love and Cherry Magic (2023) to We Are, 6th Sense Agency and Perfect 10 Liners (2024) and My Romance Scammer (2026).
Getsunova is the name of Noth’s band, not his surname, and the credit shows it.
Noth Getsunova is Panot Khunprasert. The second word of the credit names the pop-rock band he plays guitar and synthesizers in, following the Thai convention of attaching a musician’s group to their nickname. His legal name appears in three forms: Panot Khunprasert, Panoth Khunprasert and Panot Khunprasoet.
Cherry Magic carries two composers. Noth wrote and co-arranged พลังวิเศษของคนไม่พิเศษ (Everything Is Magic), sung by New Thitipoom Techaapaikhun, while Afu Narongsak Sribandasakwatcharakorn wrote the other main theme.
His band career and screen career overlap. Getsunova moved to White Music in 2015, the same year as his earliest screen credit, I Wanna Be Sup’Tar, and both have continued since.
