Anata wo Korosu Tabi (Manga)

Anata wo Korosu Tabi (Japanese: あなたを殺す旅; "A Journey to Kill You") is a Japanese yakuza-themed boys' love (BL) manga written and illustrated by Asai Sai (浅井西). It was originally serialized in the digital magazine Kachi Comi (カチCOMI) and collected into a single tankobon volume released by Akita Shoten on February 14, 2020. In 2025, the publisher Cork reissued the story as a two-volume new edition with extra bonus art, ahead of its live-action adaptation.

The story follows Odajima, a low-ranking member of a yakuza family who is ordered to act as caretaker for Kataoka, a charismatic young boss forced to lie low after stirring up trouble. The two set off on a quiet road trip along the coast, waiting for the heat to die down. What Kataoka does not know is that the journey is a setup: Odajima has been handed a secret order to kill him.

Beneath the calm surface of their travels runs a current of love and hate. Odajima keeps his feelings locked away, while Kataoka's easygoing warmth slowly chips at his resolve, in a slow-burning age-gap romance built on danger, loyalty, and a mission that grows harder to carry out with every passing day. The manga is known for its atmospheric seaside setting and its blend of tenderness and crime drama.

Anata wo Korosu Tabi is the original source work behind the 2025 Japanese live-action drama The Journey to Killing You, which premiered on September 26, 2025 on FOD and starred Masanari Wada, Hiroto Takahashi, and Shintaro Yuya. The completed manga can be read in Japanese through licensed e-book stores.
