Choi Dong-ho
BIOGRAPHY
Choi Dong-ho (Korean: 최동호; born April 23, 1997) is a South Korean actor who broke through in short-form boys’ love drama and has since moved into longer web-series leads. He made his screen debut as Yoon Chan, the taekwondo major, in the 2024 mini drama Blossom Campus, opposite Son Byeong-hoon.
Blossom Campus ran for six episodes from May 16, 2024 on Heavenly and TVING in South Korea, with international distribution through iQIYI, Rakuten TV and GagaOOLala. Produced by Matchbox and Strongberry and directed by Kang Woo, it set Choi’s outgoing athlete against a practical-music student, and its friends-to-lovers framing gave him his first sustained lead. His professional casting profile lists him at 188 cm and 78 kg, with Korean wrestling (ssireum) and regional dialect work among his stated skills, a physical, sports-adjacent casting range that matches the role he debuted in.
He followed with Checkered Shirt (체크남방을 입은 사내), the 2025 SUKFILM web series in which he played Park Jeong-woo across sixteen episodes, and in 2026 took the role of Kim Min-i in the short-form school series High School Boy (남고소년), a fifty-episode run built around a bottom-of-the-class student who gets by on his friendship with the toughest boy in school. Within two years of debuting he had gone from a six-episode mini drama to a fifty-episode series lead, working across three separate Korean short-form platforms rather than through a single production house.
BLGLFlix editorial view
He went from six episodes to fifty in two years, and the second number means less than it looks.
Choi Dong-ho, born 23 April 1997, debuted as Yoon Chan in Blossom Campus in 2024, a six-episode mini drama, and by 2026 was leading a fifty-episode school series.
Korean short-form drama counts episodes differently from everything else on this site. A fifty-episode run there can be shorter in total minutes than a twelve-episode broadcast series, because the episodes are built for a phone screen and a commute rather than an evening. Reading those numbers as though they were the same thing overstates one career and understates another, so it is worth saying which kind of counting a record uses.
The more interesting fact is where he has worked. Three separate short-form platforms in three years, with no single production house behind him, which is how this end of the Korean market operates: performers move between commissioners rather than being developed by one.
His casting profile lists traditional wrestling and dialect work among his skills, and his first role was an athlete, so the physical typing was there from the start.
His birth date, a dated 2024 debut and a working span are recorded. No agency, no birthplace and no account appear, because nothing citable carries them.
