What happens

In 1996, inside the walls of a strict Catholic seminary in Thailand, faith is a daily discipline and every hour is accounted for. Tanrak (Fourth Nattawat Jirochtikul) is an orphan who has folded his grief into that discipline: he intends to become a priest, and he holds onto the belief that a life lived well will one day return him to the parents he lost. Into that ordered world arrives Barth (Gemini Norawit Titicharoenrak), a newcomer with a temper, a wound he will not name, and no patience for a God he sees as absent. When Tanrak is assigned to guide him through the seminary's rules, the two young men are pushed into a closeness neither of them asked for, and each starts to unsettle the certainties the other has been leaning on.

What begins as an obligation turns into something Tanrak has no vocabulary for, and the institution around him offers none. Watching over them are Father Arnon (An Oliver Poupart) and Master Phak (Bright Rapheephong Thapsuwan), whose authority draws the lines the two keep testing, while Kongdech (Ashi Peerakan Teawsuwan), Ryu (Tor Phakawat Tangchatkeaw) and Prince (Guitar Supakorn Kantanit) fill out a community where rumour travels faster than confession. Beyond the seminary gates, Bussaya (Nok Sinjai Plengpanich) and Barth's Father (Tom Phollawat Manuprasert) carry the family history that shaped the man Tanrak is trying to reach. Between prayer, punishment and the private minutes the two steal from a rigid timetable, guilt and longing grow in the same soil.

Conceived by director Aof Noppharnach Chaiyahwimhon and written by Kittisak Kongka, the six-episode drama was produced by GMMTV with Gemmistry Studio and aired Saturdays at 8:30 PM on GMM25 and the official GMMTV YouTube channel between May 30 and July 4, 2026, with GagaOOLala carrying it for LGBTQ+ audiences and Rakuten Viki handling English-subtitled international streaming. It reunites the GeminiFourth pairing that began with My School President in 2022, and it uses the 1990s period setting to strip away modern noise: no screens to hide behind, no ready language for what the two are feeling. The Pairing

Director Aof Noppharnach reunites Gemini and Fourth, and their chemistry carries real emotional weight. Fourth's quietly disciplined Tanrak and Gemini's wounded, defiant Barth give the faith-versus-feeling conflict its ache.

The seminary is filled out by Peerakan Teawsuwan, Oliver Poupart and Rapheephong Thapsuwan among others, and the 1990s period detail gives the show a visual restraint.

The Setting at Work

A seminary runs on a timetable, and that is what makes it an unusual stage for a romance. Prayer, punishment and study fill the hours, so the private time the two leads share is time stolen from a schedule. This one takes a different road at a measured pace, which suits viewers who like a deliberate build.

The subject is faith. Who a young man loves becomes a problem inside his family, and he is sent to a religious place because of it. What waits there is someone carrying feelings he keeps hidden.

It moves at a heavier pace than the genre usually does, and the treatment sits closer to something artistic than to something light. It goes deep rather than wide, and that is the point of it.

Themes

The soundtrack makes the argument before the dialogue does. "Heavenly" exists in two recordings: a choir version by Siangthai-Dynamics that opens each episode, and a version sung by Gemini and Fourth. The same melody is carried once by an institution's massed voice and once by two individuals. A seminary licenses singing as worship, which makes music the one channel in the building where strong feeling is permitted to be loud, and the series builds on that.

Each lead was then given a solo. Gemini sings "Tanrak", which takes its title from the other man's name, and Fourth sings "Rain Fall". Two men who cannot speak plainly to one another are each handed a song to carry, and one of those songs is named for the other. Devotional music has always worked that way, addressing what cannot be addressed directly.

Director Aof Noppharnach visited churches in Rome while preparing the project, and the setting carries the same idea: a building made for voices, holding two young men who have no vocabulary for what they feel.

How it was made

GMMTV announced the project on 26 November 2024 at its Riding the Wave event, eighteen months ahead of transmission. The cast held a read-through on 28 February 2026 and completed a workshop phase that March, with principal photography running from 19 March to 8 May 2026, a schedule that closed barely three weeks before the first episode went out.

Rath Roongrueangtantisook served as cinematographer and Wutticha Kuaniam handled the music, with Rabob Pokanngaen producing alongside the director. A premiere screening was held at Iconsiam Hall on 30 May 2026, and a finale party followed at MCC Hall, The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi on 4 July.
