Nichaphat Buranadilok
BIOGRAPHY
Nichaphat Buranadilok is a Thai screenwriter working at GMMTV, credited on eight series between 2023 and 2026, seven of them with queer classification.
The first credit is Home School (2023), eighteen episodes. In 2024 came 23.5 (23.5 องศาที่โลกเอียง), the twelve episode Girls’ Love series for GMM 25, and High School Frenemy, sixteen episodes classified as bromance. In 2025 the list grew with Us and Love Design, both Girls’ Love stories. From 2026 the work turns to three new GMMTV productions: Cat for Cash (เปย์รักด้วยแมวเลี้ยง), a Boys’ Love series of ten episodes, Roommate Chaos (หอในหัวใจวุ่นรัก), a Boys’ Love series adapted from novels by JittiRain, and Wish Upon A Star (คืนนั้นฉันมองเห็นดาวด้วยตาเปล่า), a Girls’ Love series.
Two groups of collaborators
The credit list splits into two halves, each with different collaborators.
The first half is a three-person writing team. On Home School, High School Frenemy, 23.5, Us and Love Design, the writing is credited to the same trio: Nichaphat Buranadilok, Naphat Chitveerapat and Lalil Kittitanaphan. Kanittha Kwunyoo directed the first four. Their episode counts of 18, 16, 12 and 12 add up to 58, and Love Design adds eight more for 66.
Us aired on GMM 25 on Saturdays from 18 January to 5 April 2025, twelve episodes of about forty five minutes, with Bonnie Pattraphus Borattasuwan and Emi Thasorn Klinnium as the leads Dokrak and Pam. It follows a twenty year old who takes a gap year after school and finds a job at a coffee shop inside an art gallery. Love Design ran eight episodes from 2 October to 13 November 2025 under the director Kittisak Cheewasatjasakun. Its heroine Aokbab, played by Kao Supassrathip Akkrathaweepatch, is a young architect who sets up her own company to challenge the senior colleague Mind, played by Yam Matira Tantiprasut, who took credit for her work.
The second half has a different writing partner and a different set of directors. Cat for Cash premiered on 20 January 2026 on TrueVisions and GMM 25 at once, directed by Kornprom Niyomsil, with Pongsate Lucksameepong sharing the screenplay. Pongsate Lucksameepong shares the screenplay on Roommate Chaos and Wish Upon A Star as well, and both of those are produced by GMMTV together with Gemmistry Studio. Roommate Chaos is directed by Pinya Chookamsri, while Wish Upon A Star returns to Kornprom Niyomsil.
Roommate Chaos and Wish Upon A Star were both announced on 25 November 2025 at the company’s 2026 lineup event, so the pair of them were on the 2026 slate from the day it was revealed.
A shared three-writer team on Girls’ Love and bromance series gave way to a co-writing pair on the 2026 productions.
In my view the clearest pattern is how steadily the trio worked in the three years before. Between 2023 and 2025 five series carry the same three names across every episode, and the stories move from a school drama to a revenge story set among architects without a change of writing room. The team writing of 2025 is followed a year later by co-writing with Pongsate Lucksameepong, now with two different directors.
If I had to pick one place to start, it would be Us, because a gap year in a gallery cafe is a quiet way into a list that later involves more studios and directors.
