Cross Gene (Korean: 크로스진) is a South Korean boy band under Amuse Korea, formed and debuting on 11 June 2012, with the mini album Timeless: Begins released on 8 June 2012.

Takuya Terada joined at the group’s debut and is described in the sources as the first fully Japanese K-pop idol; he left on 10 December 2018 to concentrate on acting and modelling, and holds a profile of his own in this catalogue.

The group was active from 2012 to 2021 and resumed in February 2026 as a duo, with Shin and Yongseok.

Cross Gene was designed for two markets from the start, and the group promoted in Japan soon after the Korean debut, releasing Japanese singles and albums alongside their Korean work. Acting and stage work ran in parallel, with members appearing in Korean dramas and Japanese musicals through the 2010s. Takuya Terada, the group’s first leader, became a familiar face on Korean television through the talk programme Non-Summit, and left the line up on 10 December 2018 to concentrate on acting and modelling, with later credits including the film The Daechi Scandal in 2024.
