LatteKim
The LatteKim pairing was not assembled by a studio. It was chosen by its own members, on camera, on the second season of Domundi TV’s reality format DMD Friendship: The Reality, It Takes Two, broadcast on YouTube and One 31 from October 6 to November 10, 2024. The format asked the artists to pick partners; Latte Thanutchon Chankaewarmorn and Kim Pongsaton Sittipan picked each other, and Domundi took the result into Love Upon a Time as the series’ second couple alongside NetJJ.
Neither had ever acted. Latte had been on the Domundi roster since December 2022 and had spent three years in front of cameras without ever playing a character: the first season of DMD Friendship: The Reality on YouTube across December 2023 and January 2024, then the Japanese programme Sawatdee Khrap T-Boys!! in 2024, appearing throughout as himself. Kim reached the roster only in 2024, through the intake introduced on that same second season, and won its Best Friendship Award vote outright, finishing ahead of JJ Radchapon in second.
They come from opposite ends of the country and from outside the usual Bangkok drama-school pipeline. Latte was born in Chiang Mai on September 30, 2000, attended Yupparaj Wittayalai School there and read law at Chiang Mai University, graduating from its Faculty of Law. Kim, born October 1, 1996, one day later in the calendar and four years earlier, graduated from culinary school and runs the Thai tea brand Nu Thai Tea, with a baking venture called Blooming Oven alongside it.
Love Upon a Time premiered on March 27, 2026 and ran twelve episodes on Workpoint TV, Fridays at 21:30 ICT, ending June 12, 2026. Both carry dual-era roles across the full run: Latte plays Jom in the Ayutthaya Kingdom sequences and Thee in the present-day frame; Kim plays Kaew in the past and Pun in the present. Jom is the nobleman who has known Klao since childhood and can tell that the man wearing his face is a stranger, the character whose refusal to believe drives much of the historical plot.
Kim also recorded the series’ end song, “ยอมรับหัวใจ (No More Hiding)”, issued through DMD Music, making him one of only two cast members with a solo soundtrack track. Latte does not record; his profile is entirely an acting one. In June 2026 the two represented the pairing at the Thailand Y Content Awards ceremony in Bangkok, and they are cast together again in My Merman, with Kim as Pladao, and in The D Dorm.
LatteKim is the rarer kind of Thai BL pairing: two first-time actors making their acting debuts opposite each other, in a period drama, with no prior screen credits between them. Latte Thanutchon, born September 30, 2000 in Chiang Mai, is a Chiang Mai University law graduate and one of very few northern artists on the Domundi roster; Kim Pongsaton, born October 1, 1996, is a culinary school graduate who runs a Thai tea brand and is the oldest of the four Love Upon a Time leads by more than three years. Their birthdays fall one day apart in the calendar and four years apart in age, and both are Libras. Both stand 176 cm. The series splits their dynamic across two centuries: in the Ayutthaya-era timeline Latte's Jom is the sceptic who refuses to accept the stranger wearing his childhood friend's face, and Kim's Kaew moves around that refusal, while the present-day frame recasts the same two as Thee and Pun. Neither had acted before; the pairing was formed by their own choice on a reality show rather than assigned by casting.
