NetJJ
The NetJJ pairing exists because another one ended. Love Upon a Time had been in development at Domundi TV with Net Siraphop Manithikhun attached opposite James Supamongkon Wongwisut, his partner in the NetJames pairing that had produced Bed Friend (2023). In March 2024 James withdrew from the project to concentrate on his music career, and in May 2024 Domundi named JJ Radchapon Phornpinit as his replacement. That announcement is the moment the pairing was created: not a courtship arc but a casting decision, made to keep a historical drama on its feet.
JJ was an unusual choice on paper. He had come into the industry through music rather than acting, appearing on the survival show The Two in 2022, and his acting debut was only two years old: a supporting role as Wan in I Saw You in My Dream (2024). What he did have was screen time alongside Net on the studio’s own reality format. The second season, DMD Friendship: The Reality, It Takes Two, ran on YouTube and One 31 from October 6 to November 10, 2024, and JJ finished second in its Best Friendship Award vote, behind Kim Pongsaton Sittipan, who was forming the LatteKim pairing on the same show.
Rather than wait for the flagship series, Domundi put them to work immediately across its 2025 slate. They appeared together in Black Valentine (Net as Bomb, JJ as Sun), The Next Prince (Net as Calvin, JJ as Jay), Khemjira (Net as Kachen) and Zomvivor (Net as Earth), building a shared audience across four productions before the series they had actually been paired for reached air.
Love Upon a Time premiered on March 27, 2026 and ran twelve episodes on Workpoint TV, Fridays at 21:30 ICT, finishing on June 12, 2026. Net plays Tinnaphop “Phop”, a twenty-year-old modern student who wakes four centuries in the past; JJ plays Nakun “Klao” Phattanatada, the vanished nobleman’s son whose face Phop is mistaken for, across both the present-day and Ayutthaya Kingdom timelines. Their duet “รักที่เป็นเธอ (The Love I Found)” appears on the soundtrack, JJ’s first release credited to the pairing, alongside his solo tracks “แค่เธอตรงนี้ (Still You)” and “ถ้าพรุ่งนี้ไม่มีเธอ (Before Tomorrow)”.
They have continued past it into 30 Days of Us, and the series was directed by Den Panuwat Inthawat, who had already directed both of them on The Next Prince the year before.
NetJJ pairs an established lead with a newcomer, and the near-three-year age gap between them is part of what the casting uses. Net Siraphop, born July 8, 1997, came to Love Upon a Time with a decade of screen work behind him, an international BL breakout in Bed Friend, a business degree from Coventry University's London campus and two companies of his own; his screen presence is composed and dry rather than demonstrative. JJ Radchapon, born June 24, 2000, arrived through music rather than acting, with an acting debut only two years old, and reads as the more open and reactive of the two. In Love Upon a Time that asymmetry is written into the premise: Net's Phop is the sceptic who believes in evidence and little else, dropped into a century he cannot explain, while JJ carries Klao, the absent figure everyone else is grieving and mistaking him for. Both men are 176 cm, which the production uses in the Ayutthaya-era framing, and their shared soundtrack duet is the pairing's first joint release.
