TayNew
The TayNew pairing began at GMMTV in 2016, when Tay Tawan Vihokratana and New Thitipoom Techaapaikhun were cast as Pete and Kao in Kiss: The Series, the studio’s first entry in what became its long-running Kiss franchise. The roles carried over into two further installments, Kiss Me Again in 2018 and Dark Blue Kiss in 2019, each continuing the same characters and giving the pairing a rare multi-year continuity inside a single franchise rather than a single stand-alone drama.
Alongside their scripted work, GMMTV paired the two as hosts of the web series TayNew Meal Date, which ran from late 2018 into 2019, extending the pairing into unscripted content. The partnership continued in 2023 with both as leads in Cherry Magic Thailand, and again in 2026 with A Dog and a Plane, keeping the two paired on screen a decade after their debut. GMMTV has also promoted the duo through dedicated fan meetings branded under the Polca name, including events in Thailand, Singapore and China.
Two and a half years separate the two TayNew records held here.
Cherry Magic began on 9 December 2023, and A Dog and a Plane began on 29 May 2026. That is 902 days between start dates, a distance this site records precisely. The pattern describes a return, rather than a pairing rolled straight from one vehicle into the next.
What came back had also been rebuilt around them. The first record is a workplace comedy with a supernatural premise, filed as fantasy and remake, airing on GMM25 with Viu and YouTube alongside. The second keeps the office setting and drops the fantasy, filed as romantic comedy and ensemble. Even the rating shifts, from PG-13 on the earlier series to 13+ on the later one.
The two together hold twenty two episodes and about 18 and a half hours of joint screen time. GMMTV is credited on both, with Chamade Film joining for the second. The pairing stayed inside one studio relationship while production and distribution changed around it.

Across the Kiss franchise, TayNew's dynamic was built on a slow-burn push and pull between Pete and Kao, sustained over three separate productions rather than resolved in one. That long arc gave the pairing an unusual continuity: viewers followed the same two characters move from ambiguous tension in Kiss: The Series toward an established relationship by Dark Blue Kiss. In Cherry Magic Thailand the two shifted into an office comedy register, trading the franchise's earlier drama for a lighter, more comedic rapport. Outside scripted work, their hosting partnership on TayNew Meal Date and joint fan events under the Polca banner have reinforced an easy, familiar screen presence built over roughly a decade of repeated collaboration.
