Tay Tawan Vihokratana

Tay Tawan Vihokratana (Thai: เต ตะวัน วิหครัตน์; born July 20, 1991) is a Thai actor, singer, and television host signed to GMMTV, and one half of the long-running on-screen acting partnership TayNew with New Thitipoom Techaapaikhun. He plays Karan Wongkarun in Cherry Magic 30 ยังซิง (2023-2024), the Thai adaptation of Yuu Toyota’s BL manga, and has been one of the studio’s most visible leading men for over a decade.

He was born in Bangkok and attended Suankularb Wittayalai School on the science and mathematics track. He went on to Chulalongkorn University, where he began a chemistry degree in the Faculty of Science before transferring to the Faculty of Economics, from which he graduated. In 2012, still a student, he was chosen as a mace-bearer for the 68th Chula-Thammasat Traditional Football Match, one of the largest student events in the country.

He entered the industry in 2014 as a presenter on Bang Channel’s Five Live Fresh and made his acting debut the same year in Room Alone 401-410 as Warm. The role that established him was Pete, carried across three productions: Kiss: The Series (2016), Kiss Me Again (2018) and Dark Blue Kiss (2019), where the character was promoted from a secondary thread to a lead.

Alongside that run he led Secret Seven (2017) and 3 Will Be Free (2019), and his later work moved well outside BL: I’m Tee, Me Too (2020), The Player (2021), The Three Gentlebros (2022), Midnight Museum (2023), Peaceful Property (2024) and A Dog and a Plane (2026). He remains on the GMMTV roster; at the studio’s GMMTV 2026 lineup event in November 2025 he was announced for Replay and Good Boy, both alongside New Thitipoom, and for the Thai adaptation of Scarlet Heart.

He also records as a solo artist for GMMTV Records. His singles include เก็บความรู้สึกเก่ง (Invisible Tears) (2021) and เสื้อกันหนาว (Love Stranger) with Lula Kanyarat (2020), alongside a steady line of series soundtracks, ถ้าเธอได้ยิน (Voice Within) for Cherry Magic (2024) and กู้ภัยกู้ใจ (Rescue You) for A Dog and a Plane (2026). In June 2025 the Spanish fashion house Loewe named him a Friend of the House. GMMTV lists him at 177 cm (5’10”) and 65 kg (143 lbs), and he speaks Thai natively.
