PondPhuwin
PondPhuwin is the pairing of GMMTV actors Pond Naravit Lertratkosum and Phuwin Tangsakyuen. They were first cast as a leading pair in Fish upon the Sky, which premiered on 9 April 2021, with Phuwin as Pi and Pond as Mork, the role that became Pond’s breakthrough. They have been promoted together ever since.
The two had in fact already shared a production before that. The Gifted: Graduation premiered on 6 September 2020 with Phuwin in the main cast as Third; Pond appeared as Non in short promotional segments that aired after each episode rather than in the drama itself. That is where his screen career starts, but it is not where the pairing does.
The pairing carried Never Let Me Go (2022), in which Pond played Palm, and then We Are (คือเรารักกัน, 2024), where Pond played Phum and Phuwin played Peem across all sixteen episodes.
Both remain with GMMTV; Phuwin’s solo music is released through Riser Music. The two have continued to take separate leading roles alongside their joint work, Pond in Leap Day (2025) and Me and Thee (2025), Phuwin in Summer Night (2024) and Dalah: Death and the Flowers (2025).
Correction and source-strength note. An earlier version of this page said the two were first cast opposite each other in 2021 with no mention of the 2020 series, and credited the pairing with a Couple of the Year award that no source we accept records. Both have been fixed. An award that cannot be traced to a verifiable listing is left out rather than repeated.
We Are, the pair’s third series, runs sixteen episodes of 45 minutes each.
We Are went out on GMM 25 with iQIYI alongside, between 3 April and 17 July 2024, and GMMTV produced it. It carries a 13+ rating across all sixteen episodes.
Its genres are college, friendship, comedy and coming of age, a campus ensemble story that follows the pair’s 2021 lead billing in Fish upon the Sky by three years.
One of GMMTV's longest-running pairings, built across three full series rather than a single hit. Fish upon the Sky put the two of them in lead billing straight away, in 2021, and the partnership has been renewed twice since, which is why We Are can open with the pair already reading as a unit: the audience has watched the rapport hold for three years across three very different tones, a campus comedy, a period melodrama and an ensemble friendship piece.
