Love stories told for laughs. In a romantic comedy the couple is the point and the comedy is the method, so misunderstandings, silly schemes and terrible timing do the work instead of grief or danger.
What I love about romcoms in BL and GL is that they refuse to treat the relationship as a problem. The obstacles are shyness, pride and plain bad luck, and the joke is never on the couple for being who they are.
You will find the Thai GL series 23.5, Thai BL comedies like Only Boo!, WEIRDO-101, Lost to Light, A Dog and a Plane and Crazy Love, Moo-Moo!, and Japanese office fun with Fake Fact Lips and Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami, both as manga and on screen. My tip: start with 23.5 the Series for a sweet GL laugh, then switch to Fake Fact Lips for office rivals with sharp tongues. Snacks are mandatory, giggling is encouraged.
