Rina Chatamonchai - Thai-Iranian actress, Jiu in Petrichor The Series

Rina Chatamonchai

BIOGRAPHY

Rina Chatamonchai (มีนา ศุภประภัสสร), who works under the nickname Meena, is a Thai-Iranian actor and model born on 12 October 1997. She studied at Rangsit University. She has eight screen credits and five of them are queer drama, one Boys’ Love and four Girls’ Love.

She began in Bite Me (ส่งร้อน เสิร์ฟรัก) in 2021, playing Chef Eve across eleven episodes of the ONE 31 Boys’ Love series about a chef chasing a cooking championship who is pulled back to life by a delivery rider. The series was made by The Dream And Destiny and went out between 29 August and 7 November 2021. In 2022 she appeared in the ONE 31 group’s horror-music series Rose In Da House as Kaotan. The seven episodes went out from 15 June to 6 July 2022 on YouTube and WeTV, with GMM 25 among the networks. In 2024 she played Kaimuk in Bangkok Blossom (บางกอกคณิกา), the eight-episode ONE 31 period drama set in 1892, about three women who stand up and fight for their own futures and for women’s rights. It was produced by The One Enterprise and aired from 8 to 30 May 2024.

Her Girls’ Love work runs through the same years. She plays Rata in the three-episode Delete Your Past (ลบเธอให้หาย), broadcast from 20 to 22 June 2024. She also plays Priao in About Galaxy (มูลค่าดาวล้านดวง) for Y.entertainment, a series adapted from a novel. Jiu is her part in Petrichor (หยดฝนกลิ่นสนิม), the ten-episode ONE 31 and iQIYI thriller that ran from 23 November 2024 to 1 February 2025 and was made with iQIYI Pictures and TV Thunder. In it a police captain and a doctor pursue a serial killer.

In Under Her Rules (ใต้เงาจันทรา), the iQIYI International Girls’ Love series produced by MGI BEYOND and dated 17 October 2026, she plays Alice, a new graduate whose relationship with her boss Nannalin is at the centre of the story. It is her first lead role.

Rina Chatamonchai began in Boys’ Love and moved into Girls’ Love from 2024.

The Boys’ Love credit, Bite Me, came first in 2021. The Girls’ Love titles Delete Your Past and Petrichor followed in 2024, and Under Her Rules is dated 2026.

Three of her titles come from ONE 31: Bite Me, Bangkok Blossom and Petrichor.

In my view, the most telling thing about her list is the spread of genres across a short career. A cooking romance, a horror and music series, a period drama about women’s rights, a crime thriller and a workplace love story each ask for a different temperament, and she has been given a place in all of them. What stayed with me is that Under Her Rules is her first lead role, which makes it the credit to follow next. If I had to pick a first watch it would be Petrichor, because Jiu sits inside a ten episode story with a clear shape, and then Bangkok Blossom to see her in a very different world.
