Film Thanapat Kawila

Film Thanapat Kawila (Thai: ธนภัทร กาวิละ, born 20 April 1993) is a Thai actor and singer, and one of the established leading men at Channel One 31. He is from Saraburi and is the only son in his family.

He did not come up through a drama school. He took a business degree, graduating in finance from Bangkok University with second-class honours, and worked as cabin crew for Thai Lion Air while he was starting out as an actor. His way in was the Rak Fun Talop Casting Project, a talent search run to sign new performers to The One Enterprise, and the series that gave the search its name became his first credit.

He built his profile steadily on Channel One 31: Doctor Intouch in the Sanaeha Diary story Kapdak Sanaeha, Petch in Ruean Benjaphit, and Wasin in Mia 2018, which is the role that first drew a large audience to him. In 2019 he joined Project Gravity and released the single Khon Diao with Neung of the band ETC, and in 2020 he sang Chana Pai Laeo for the soundtrack of Chan Chue Butsaba. Other One 31 credits include Na Kak Kaeo, Phuti Phitsawat, Rak Laek Phop, Phayu Sai and Fah Phiang Din.

The role that made his name was Khun Tian in Khun Chai, opposite Jam Rachata Hampanont, and the pairing the two of them formed there has followed both actors since. In 2023 he returned to leading roles with Rak Ni Tong Chiaranai alongside Bifern Anchasa, and in 2024 he took a change of register in Wiman Si Thong and Mae Yua. In 2025 he appeared at the Weibo Cultural Exchange Night in Thailand at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, an event marking fifty years of Thai-Chinese relations, where he received an award alongside Tarwoo and Offroad. He has said he does not want to be held to playing the faultless leading man, and in 2026 he takes his first full villain role in Mon Mueang Mang, a Lanna-period Boys’ Love adaptation of a novel by Kanphit, performed partly in Kam Mueang and built around folk belief, ghosts and a murder. He also appears in the 2026 drama Sakuna Son Rak.

He plays Charn Saengsathianphong, the lawyer at the centre of the story, in the Channel One 31 series Laws of Attraction (2023).
