Girl’s Day

Girl’s Day (Korean: 걸스데이) is a South Korean girl group from Seoul that debuted in July 2010 with Girl’s Day Party #1, released on 9 July.

The four current members are Sojin, Minah, Yura and Hyeri. Earlier members were Jihae, Jisun and Jiin. Hyeri, Lee Hye-ri, also works as an actress and holds a profile of her own in this catalogue.

In 2019 the four members chose not to renew their contracts with Dream T Entertainment while stating that the group had not disbanded, so no closing status is published here. Their most recent EP was released in 2017.

After the four-piece line up settled in 2012, Girl’s Day moved from bright early singles to the run of releases that made their name, with Expectation in 2013 taking Long-Run Song of the Year at the Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards and Something in 2014 reaching number two on the Gaon digital chart. Their final group release was the EP Everyday #5 in 2017. The members’ contracts with Dream T Entertainment ended in January 2019 and the group has not disbanded. Since then each member has worked separately: Hyeri and Minah in television and film, Sojin in drama and stage work, and Yura in acting and variety programmes.
