UNIQ

UNIQ (Korean: 유니크) is a five member South Korean and Chinese boy band under Yuehua Entertainment, formed in 2014 and debuting on 20 October 2014 with Falling In Love, released in China and South Korea at the same time.

The members are Zhou Yixuan, Kim Sung-joo, Li Wenhan, Cho Seung-youn and Wang Yibo. Wang Yibo also works as an actor and holds a profile of his own in this catalogue.

The group has been on an indefinite break since 2018 while its members work on individual projects, and it was active across China, South Korea and Japan during its run.

UNIQ worked between two markets from the start, blending K-pop, Mandopop and dance music and releasing their material in Chinese, Korean, English and Japanese versions with international producers. They won Best New Artist at the 2015 KU Music Asian Music Awards and set a record for the most wins on the Global Chinese Music Chart.

Since 2018 the five have worked separately. Wang Yibo moved into acting and presenting, Li Wenhan took part in Youth With You season one and debuted in UNINE, Cho Seungyoun appeared on Produce X 101, joined X1 and now records as Woodz, Zhou Yixuan formed New Storm, and Kim Sungjoo completed his military service.
