BAE173

BAE173 (Korean: 비에이이173) is a South Korean boy band from Seoul under PocketDol Studio, debuting on 19 November 2020 with the EP Intersection: Spark. The name is given as Before Anyone Else, with 173 explained as one for the perfection number and 73 as a fortunate number.

The members are J-Min, Yoojun, Muzin, Junseo, Youngseo, Doha and Bit, with Dohyun and Hangyul as earlier members. J-Min is Jeon Min-wook, who also works as an actor and holds a profile of his own in this catalogue; he later debuted again with CLOSE YOUR EYES in 2025, which also has a page here.

The group works in K-pop and has been active since the 2020 debut.

BAE173 built a catalogue of six mini albums after Intersection: Spark, with New Chapter: Luceat in 2024 reaching number eight in South Korea, their best chart placing. Their 2023 run on JTBC’s Peak Time took them to the final six and a fifth place finish, and widened their audience overseas.

From 2024 the members also worked separately on television. J-Min placed third on JTBC’s Project 7 and debuted with CLOSE YOUR EYES, while Hangyul finished sixth on Starlight Boys and joined POLARIX. Hangyul’s contract with PocketDol Studio concluded in February 2026, and in July 2026 Yoojun, Muzin, Junseo, Youngseo and Bit also completed their contracts with the company.
