Chris Chiu is a Taiwanese actor, singer, dancer and television host, born in Taichung and originally known by the stage name Modi. He entered the entertainment industry in 2006 through the Taiwanese variety programme Circus Boy Band and studied at Tungnan University of Science and Technology. He was a member of the boy group Choc7 from 2008 to 2010 and then of the trio JPM, formed in 2011, which released the albums Moonwalk and 365. His early film work included the 2008 coming of age feature Winds of September and the 2010 anthology series Gloomy Salad Days. He hosted the variety programme 100% Entertainment between 2018 and 2019, and served as a mentor on the 2022 talent series Atom Boyz. In 2024 he played Wei Qian, one of the two leads of the boys love series Unknown, adapted from the novel Da Ge, and recorded the duet Foolish for its soundtrack with co-star Kurt Huang. He led the 2025 series The Six of Us.
