Swee:D

Swee:D was a Thai girl group of three, released through the Kamikaze label and active between 2010 and 2011. The members were Pim, Min and Jinny.

Pim Pimprapa Tangprabhaporn had come up through the same label’s Lipz Project and the girl group Chilli White Choc in 2007. She works as an actress and holds a profile of her own in this catalogue.

The group’s song Sad Scene reached the top of Thai radio charts during its run. The line up ended when Pim chose not to renew her contract in 2011 in order to concentrate on university.

Swee:D worked within Kamikaze’s fast moving single led model rather than releasing a full length album, and the three songs credited to the trio, ห้าม, ฉากเรียกน้ำตา and พลิกล็อกที่หัวใจ, remain the group’s complete recorded output. The ballad ฉากเรียกน้ำตา was the most widely heard of the three and climbed to the top of Thai radio charts.

The members had known one another through Kamikaze’s Seven Days project before Swee:D was formed, which gave the trio an unusually settled chemistry from the start. More than ten years after the group wound down, Pim, Min and Jinny appeared together again at Kamikaze Party 2022, held in Bangkok on 15 October 2022, where the label brought its former artists back on stage and the three performed their old material for a new audience.
