BIOGRAPHY

Thitipong Chaisati (Thai: ฐิติพงศ์ ใช้สติ), also romanised as Titipong Chaisati, is a Thai screenwriter, director, editor and producer whose career in the commercial Thai film and television industry runs back to 2005. For readers of this site he wrote the screenplay for Uranus2324 (2024) and for Mr.Kill (2026), and produced the BL series The Bangkok Boy (2025).

Like most Thai writer-directors of his generation he started on set rather than at a desk, as assistant director on Andaman Girl (2005) and first assistant director on The Letters of Death (2006). His first screenplay credit is Ghost-In-Law (2008), and he directed his first feature, Pai in Love, in 2009.

The early 2010s are the most hands-on stretch of his career, when he routinely held three or four jobs on the same production. On Bang Rajan 2 (2010) he is credited as screenwriter, co-director, editor and casting director at once. On Ghost Day (2012) he wrote, directed and edited; on Three Day Two Night (2012) he wrote, directed and edited again. He wrote and directed Namo OK (2014).

From 2019 onward his work shifts almost entirely to writing for long-form television, and the range widens considerably. He wrote sixteen episodes of Voice (2019), twenty-four episodes of Daughters (2020), a family drama that deals directly with homophobia and domestic abuse, sixteen episodes of Remember You (2021), the Netflix series Bangkok Breaking (2021), fourteen episodes of Finding the Rainbow (2022) and twenty-two episodes of the science-fiction thriller 23:23 (2023). He also wrote and directed the feature Bug Tangmo (2022) and wrote The Ghoul: Horror At The Howling Field (2020).

His recent work sits squarely in this vertical. He wrote the screenplay for Uranus2324, Thailand’s largest-scale GL feature, produced all twelve episodes of the BL series The Bangkok Boy (2025), and wrote the ten episodes of Mr.Kill (2026). A second screenplay credit, Panor 2, is also dated 2026.

BLGLFlix editorial view. Two things about this credit list are worth pointing out, because neither is visible from the finished shows. The first is that he and director Thanadol Nuansut have now worked together twice, on Finding the Rainbow in 2022 and Uranus2324 in 2024. Thai queer productions are usually discussed in terms of on-screen pairs, but the durable creative partnerships in this industry are behind the camera, and this is one of them. The second is that he is one of very few people we can verify holding credits on both a GL feature and a BL series, and he arrived at both after roughly fifteen years of ghost films, historical war pictures and crime thrillers. Our own read is that this is exactly what a genre maturing looks like. When a category stops being served by specialists who only make that category, and starts drawing writers whose craft was built somewhere else entirely, the writing gets structurally stronger even when it gets less fluent in the genre’s conventions. Uranus2324 reads that way to us: a romance assembled by someone who thinks in thriller beats.
