Harry Montenegro (Andrei de Guzman) runs his private life the way he runs a boardroom: on schedule, on budget, and with feelings filed somewhere they cannot interrupt the agenda. When his partner walks out and tells him he is too stiff to love, Harry treats the breakup like a bad performance review and goes looking for a fix he can pay for. That fix is Brix (Aki Torres), a street-smart, easily charming professional companion who makes his living selling the boyfriend experience through a paid companionship service. They sign a four-week contract with a fee, a schedule, a lesson plan, and one strict rule Harry writes in himself: no kissing.

The arrangement is meant to stay tidy. Brix teaches Harry how to hold a hand without checking the time, how to sit through a meal without answering email, how to let another person see him unrehearsed; Harry pays, takes notes, and tells himself he is simply acquiring a skill he was never issued. What neither man budgets for is the point at which the rehearsal stops behaving like a rehearsal, and every lesson has to be re-read in a light that makes the invoice awkward. Around the two of them the series keeps a small ensemble in play, Jazmine (Thea Abanico), Bree (Angge Gegante), Leo (Art Guma) and Sharky (Mark Anthony Oblea), whose presence keeps pressing on the question of what exactly is being bought here, and whether either of them can still tell.
