What happens

Harry Montenegro (Andrei de Guzman) runs his private life the way he runs a boardroom: on schedule, on budget, and with feelings filed somewhere they cannot interrupt the agenda. When his partner walks out and tells him he is too stiff to love, Harry treats the breakup like a bad performance review and goes looking for a fix he can pay for. That fix is Brix (Aki Torres), a street-smart, easily charming professional companion who makes his living selling the boyfriend experience through a paid companionship service. They sign a four-week contract with a fee, a schedule, a lesson plan, and one strict rule Harry writes in himself: no kissing.

The arrangement is meant to stay tidy. Brix teaches Harry how to hold a hand without checking the time, how to sit through a meal without answering email, how to let another person see him unrehearsed; Harry pays, takes notes, and tells himself he is simply acquiring a skill he was never issued. What neither man budgets for is the point at which the rehearsal stops behaving like a rehearsal, and every lesson has to be re-read in a light that makes the invoice awkward. Around the two of them the series keeps a small ensemble in play, Jazmine (Thea Abanico), Bree (Angge Gegante), Leo (Art Guma) and Sharky (Mark Anthony Oblea), whose presence keeps pressing on the question of what exactly is being bought, and whether either of them can still tell.

The Boyfriend Express is a 2026 Filipino boys' love romantic drama produced by Oxin Films in collaboration with OK Drama (OKGames). It premiered on May 2, 2026, releasing weekly on Saturdays on YouTube with episodes running roughly 41 minutes, and full episodes stream for free on the OK Drama channel. The setup is a familiar one, opposites attract, a contract romance, a no-kissing clause that exists to be tested, but the show is more curious about Harry than about the gimmick, treating emotional rigidity as something a person learns, not a flaw to be laughed at. It keeps the camera on what the two men are willing to admit and not on the transaction itself. Whether an arrangement can teach anyone to actually feel is a question the series is content to leave open.

Blunt one-liner: a man gets dumped for being too stiff, so he hires a professional boyfriend to tutor him in romance. Yes, really. The Boyfriend Express runs with that delightfully silly idea and finds a surprisingly sweet heart inside it.

Love, Now With a Lesson Plan

Harry Montenegro (Andrei de Guzman) runs his private life the way he runs a boardroom: on schedule, on budget, feelings filed safely out of the way. When his partner walks out and tells him he is too stiff to love, Harry treats it like a bad performance review and looks for a fix he can pay for. Enter Brix (Aki Torres), a street-smart, easily charming professional companion who sells the boyfriend experience through a paid service. They sign a four-week contract with a fee, a schedule and a lesson plan. Very Harry. Then he adds one clause himself: no kissing. Very, very Harry.

Homework: Hold a Hand Without Checking Your Watch

The lessons are the best part. Brix teaches Harry to hold a hand without glancing at the time, to sit through a meal without answering email, to let someone see him unrehearsed. Harry pays, takes notes and tells himself he is just picking up a skill nobody ever issued him. Of course, nobody budgets for the moment the rehearsal stops feeling like a rehearsal. If contract romance, fake relationships, opposites attract and a rule that is clearly begging to be broken are your favourite things, this show was made with you in mind.

Four Extra Voices, Many Awkward Questions

Around the pair sits a small ensemble: Thea Abanico as Jazmine, Angge Gegante as Bree, Art Guma as Leo and Mark Anthony Oblea as Sharky. They keep nudging at the big question, what exactly is being bought here, and can either man still tell? I also appreciate that the show is more curious about Harry than about the gimmick. His stiffness is treated as something he learned, not as a joke at his expense, which gives the slow burn real warmth.

Free, Weekly and Very Bingeable

Now the friendly part for your wallet: every episode is free on YouTube via the OK Drama channel. Ten episodes of about 41 minutes, released on Saturdays from 2 May to 4 July 2026, made by Oxin Films in collaboration with OK Drama (OKGames). It is an original web series, so there is no novel to spoil it for you.

If you like this kind of "terms and conditions" love story, it makes a fun pairing with other 2026 titles built on deals: Fake Fact Lips runs on a wager, and A Dog and a Plane on a paid errand. Here the deal is written down in full, which makes every broken rule land with a little extra thrill.

Mood: light, flirty and gently melodramatic. Who will love it? Anyone who enjoys watching a control freak learn to loosen up, one invoice at a time.

Final Score: 6.5/10
