May Piangpaitoon Satrawaha
BIOGRAPHY
May Piangpaitoon Satrawaha (Thai: มาย เพียงไพฑูรย์ สาตราวาหะ) is a Thai screenwriter, acting coach, casting director, director and production manager, and one of the two credited screenwriters of the 2026 Domundi TV historical Boys’ Love series Love Upon a Time, which she adapted with Porndee Satrawaha from littlebbear96’s novel ภพเธอ.
She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Dramatic Arts from the Faculty of Arts at Chulalongkorn University, the same programme attended by Den Panuwat Inthawat, the director of Love Upon a Time. Two graduate degrees in theatre is an unusually formal training for the Thai television industry, and it shows in the breadth of her working roles: she does not only write, but coaches performers, casts them, directs, and runs production.
She founded SPARK DRAMA STUDIO and serves as managing director of Chaiyo Hooray Productions, which places her on the business side of Thai drama as well as the creative one, a rarer position for a working screenwriter than for a producer.
Her screenwriting credits run from 2012 to the present. She wrote for the long-running anthology Club Friday (2012), then across a wide spread of mainstream and Boys’ Love titles including Glarb Pai Soo Wun Fun (2019), Mother (2020), Cutie Pie (2022), My Golden Blood (2025) and Love Upon a Time (2026). Cutie Pie is a Domundi TV production, which puts her inside that studio’s writers’ room four years before the 2026 series.
Like several Thai writer-coaches she also takes small on-screen parts, generally playing figures adjacent to her own professions: Teacher Mild in Hormones Season 2 (2014), a teacher named My in Boyband (2023), a nurse named Ju in To Be Continued (2024), and a shipper in Dating Game (2025).
